Continuing off from the heart-warming Mother's Day, it's the turn for celebrating Father's Day. Father's love is like the sunshine in summer, warm and strong. Wingtat wishes all Dads a Happy Father's Day. 「Modern Mommies」 is a new program sponsored by Wingtat. Different mothers will be invited to share about their journey as a Mom. First issue was published in May, the next issue will be published in July. The winner of the first issue's gift giveaway has been selected and announced in「Modern Mommies」below. "Donald Cheung and Friends in Concert 2015 Vancouver" organized by Megalopolis Production Inc. will hold their event at Richmond River Rock Theater on June 13th, 2015. Wingtat will give away 2 free tickets to a lucky Wingtat Member! Summer is approaching and school will end at the end of June. Remember to make a reservation at SCWH and Claypot to celebrate Father’s Day with your family. In this issue, Wingtat’s Kitchen will be introducing great appetizing recipe for the summer!

In celebration of Mother’s Day, Wingtat Game Bird Packers is sponsoring a new program called「Modern Mommies」to honor and recognize today’s mommies. There is no one definition to describe what is a modern, successful mommy. Through this program, Wingtat hopes to illustrate and highlight different mommies and perhaps you may be able to relate with one or most of them.

Melissa Ng, Marketing Manager of Wingtat Game Bird Packers, will be interviewing different mommies to share about their motherhood journey. If you are a mommy yourself, you are welcome and invited to participate in every issue's gift giveaway for a chance to win great gifts from「Modern Mommies」. These gifts were custom selected to pamper you, your child and your family.

Last issue, we asked for photo submissions on "Mother’s Day Celebration"; the following lucky participant, Michelle Hsieh, will receive May's 「Modern Mommies」gifts. The selected photo captured the Mommy celebrating her daughter's 2nd birthday in Frozen theme style on Mother's Day, sharing the special day with her daughter. The winning Mommy will be notified by phone and can pick up her gifts between June 15th - June 30th from Wingtat Office.

The 2nd issue 「Modern Mommies」will launch in July 2015. Our next 「Modern Mommies」 guest is Linda who has been an early childhood educator for 14 years. She will share about her journey on parenting to her child with special needs. During her interview, she will touch upon myths, expectations, fears and reality of parenting a kid with Down syndrome.

Well-known Hong Kong singer Donald Cheung (張偉文) together with Music Director 盧東尼 and special guest Mary Ho will be holding a concert at River Rock Theater in Vancouver to celebrate Father’s Day with us. Part of the profits will be donated to the Richmond Hospital Foundation. From now until June 9th, 2015, 11:55 PM, Wingtat Members can participate in the “Donald Cheung and Friends in Concert 2015 Vancouver" Tickets Give Away by answering a simple question correctly and completing the entry form. Wingtat will randomly draw one lucky Member to receive two tickets for the concert held on June 13th, 2015. Our Membership Team will contact the lucky Member. Sweet Osmanthus is made by mixing dry Osmanthus and honey. It’s mainly used for adding flowery fragrance to dessert such as sweet Osmanthus dumplings, sweet Osmanthus stuffed lotus root, etc. Using appropriate amount of sweet Osmanthus for cooking Free Run Chicken will give you unexpected surprises. Ginger can help gastric secretion and promote better blood circulation. Fry ginger until fragrant, add in tender Free Run Chicken, then pour in sweet Osmanthus cooked with remaining chicken sauce, and let your taste buds crave for more.
