Christmas is coming! Wingtat and our Membership Merchants are preparing a long list of wonderful gifts to share with our Members. We will keep you posted in our upcoming December eNews and print ads.
Wingtat's November Recipes
 This month, our recipes feature Wingtat Quail. Quail is a small game bird, domestically raised, usually weighing 6 ounces (175g) or less. If young, quails are best for roasting and broiling. Quail is sought for its fine flavor. The taste of quail meat not only ranks above chicken, but the nutritional and medicinal value also win over chicken. Protein content of quail meat is as high as 24%. It also includes many kinds of organic salt as well as lecithin, hormones and many essential amino acids. The meat of a quail is an excellent source of protein and it is food that is low in fat and cholesterol. It is especially good for those who are middle-aged, have hypertension, or obese. Those who study Chinese medicine believe that quail meat can "cleanse the five internal organs, improve respiratory system, enhance muscles and bones, etc.
