Chestnuts Stewed with Pig Feet

Ingredients

  • Pig Feet2
  • Peanut1/2 lb
  • Chestnut1/2 lb
  • Ginger2 slices
  • Green Onion1 stalk
  • Preserved Red Bean Curd2 pc
Marinade:
  • Yellow Rock Sugar1 pc
  • Dark Soy Sauce2 tbsp
  • Water2-1/2 cups

Directions

  • Dehair pig\'s trotter. Cut into pieces. Scald in boiling water. Rinse and drain dry.
  • Soak peanut in water. Wash & clean. Shell & peel chestnut. Cut into halves.
  • Heat oil in a wok. Sauté ginger slices & preserved bean curd. Add in pig\'s trotter and fry until done. Add peanut, chestnut & seasonings. Bring to boil and turn to low heat and stew for 1-1/2 hour. Bring sauce to thicken and add green onion. Dish up & ready to serve.
