October's quiet arrival is a time for us to reflect with gratitude. We are very grateful for the collaborative efforts of those whom are doing their part to keeping everyone well and healthy during the last 18 months of the pandemic. Wingtat wishes all our Members a safe, joyful and warm Thanksgiving gathering with their loved ones. Congratulations to our Mid-Autumn Festival Lucky Draw winners! Thank you for the great support of our newly launched Wingtat RWA Chicken Value Packs. They are easily stored in the freezer; convenient to make healthy packed school/office lunches for every member of your household! This RWA line is available for purchase at T&T Supermarkets in BC and AB. Autumn, a season of harvest, is a fitting time to prepare delicious and nutritious foods for your family. Wingtat Kitchen recommends a nourishing chicken soup to prepare with complementing Autumn ingredients and a savoury Thanksgiving dish to share as we celebrate Thanksgiving with family. Wingtat is grateful for our Instagram community for continuing to share their dishes prepared with Wingtat products; their recipes are shown below. Lastly, B.C.'s Public Health Order was updated early October. The mask mandate at school has been updated. Here is a fitting soup for the cooler autumn season that has arrived. Pumpkin is an alkaline food that is beneficial to the human body while turnips are used in everyday stir-fry dishes. Did you know that when pumpkin and black eyed peas are used together to prepare soup, the flavor is sweet; this pairing is healthy for the stomach. Lastly, Wingtat‘s Taiwanese Chicken meat is low in fat and adds a rich flavor to the soup. May this soup be a family favorite to enjoy together during the Fall.

		Grateful for this city and the province we live in. We are blessed with picturesque sceneries, fresh air, abundance of food/ingredients, as well as, a wide variety of multi-cultural celebrations, festivals and holidays. We are even more thankful for local grown/raised fresh ingredients. Wingtat Chicken is paired with sun-dried tomatoes and olives before roasting. Walk the Wall is a global movement that comes together throughout the year to raise money for abandoned and disabled children and young adults in China, as well as families raising children with disabilities so that abandonment isn’t their only option.

The Walk the Wall took place on September 25, 2021, raising over $180,000 in funds to provide life-changing opportunities for thousands of young people. Specialty Chicken & Wonton House serves a wide selection of food for both our lunch and dinner guests. From our famous Free Run Chicken dishes, to congee and noodles in soups, to daily lunch specials and specialty dinner entrées, there is something for both the young and elderly.

By order of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), BC vaccination card and a government issued identification are required to enter licensed restaurants and restaurants that offer table service (indoor and patio dining). Diners should at least have one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. By October 24th, 2021 diners would be required to be fully vaccinated. The requirement is in place until January 31st, 2022 and could be extended. SCWH will continue to provide takeout service (self-pickup) and customers can place orders through the Fantuan / DoorDash / Uber Eats delivery platform. Business hours are 10:30am-9:30pm every day.
