Good news! Wingtat recently launched their newest product, Wingtat Chinese Sausage, made from Wingtat Free Run Chicken (Taiwanese Chicken). Everyone knows Chinese sausage tastes good and is easy to pair with other dishes. Yet, traditional sausages are higher in fat which brings up health concerns for Chinese sausage lovers. Are there other healthier options for them?
Wingtat’s Chinese Sausage with Chicken and Pork (Lean) is made from our signature chicken, Wingtat Taiwanese Chicken, a lean chicken. Our sausage also uses the fine quality lean pork, which also contains less fat. Protein content will stay same as the conventional sausage. Wingtat Chinese Sausage is the healthier choice as it can be enjoyed with less fat and lower calories. It will also not taste as greasy as the regular sausages made with chicken and pork. To prepare the sausage for it to taste just as tender as the regular sausage’s texture, simply scald and then steam the sausage. This sausage is great for making rice, stir-frying, and making delicate dim-sum. Any dishes made from this sausage is a smart choice!

After a fun-filled summer, children need to prepare for the new school year. Parents want to make nutritious soups for their kids. Corn is in season now. In celebration of Mother’s Day, Wingtat Game Bird Packers started sponsoring a new program, since May 2015, called「Modern Mommies」to honor and recognize today’s mommies. There is no one definition to describe what is a modern, successful mommy. Through this program, Wingtat hopes to illustrate and highlight different mommies and perhaps you may be able to relate with one or most of them.
Melissa Ng, Marketing Manager of Wingtat Game Bird Packers, will be interviewing different mommies to share about their motherhood journey. If you are a mommy yourself, you are welcome and invited to participate in every issue's gift giveaway for a chance to win great gifts from「Modern Mommies」. The annual Walk the Wall, walk-a-thon, organized by the International China Concern’s (ICC) is back! Each year this event is organized to raise funds that would be put towards life and support for hundreds of children and adults with disabilities.
